Brain scan may predict dangerous Post-Surgery confusion
NCT ID NCT07369466
Summary
This study aims to find out if a special brain scan taken before surgery can predict which older patients with type 2 diabetes are most likely to experience confusion and delirium after an operation. Researchers will enroll 154 patients scheduled for liver tumor surgery and measure their brain's sugar usage. They will then track who develops post-surgery delirium to see if the scan results are linked to the risk.
