New brain scan aims to spot Parkinson's earlier
NCT ID NCT06738862
Summary
This study tested a new type of brain scan (called [18F]-FD17 PET) to see if it can detect a harmful protein linked to Parkinson's disease and similar conditions. Researchers compared scans from 55 people, including healthy volunteers and patients with Parkinson's, to see how the protein shows up. The goal is to find a better way to diagnose these brain diseases earlier and more accurately.
