Pre-Surgery brain training may boost recovery in glioma patients

NCT ID NCT07471100

First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether a short course of physical therapy, with or without brain stimulation, before surgery can help the brain reorganize motor function in adults with high-grade glioma near the movement area. About 63 participants will be randomly assigned to standard care, physical therapy alone, or physical therapy plus brain stimulation. The goal is to see if these prehabilitation strategies safely promote brain plasticity and improve surgical outcomes.
