Summary
This study monitored brain oxygen levels and electrical activity in 15 children aged 6 to 36 months during open heart surgery. Sensors placed on the forehead measured oxygen and brain waves every 5 minutes. The goal was to understand how these measurements relate to each other, which could help doctors better protect young brains during surgery.
