Brain tumor radiation gets a Same-Day Tune-Up

NCT ID NCT07132190

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether doing radiation planning and treatment on the same day can better target fast-growing brain metastases. About 60 adults with brain tumors that grow at least 1mm per week will be randomly assigned to receive radiation with a 1mm or 0mm safety margin. The goal is to see if same-day planning reduces the chance that tumor cells escape the radiation field.
