Timing is everything: new study tests when to zap brain tumors after surgery

Summary

This study looks at 90 people with cancer that has spread to the brain to find the best time to give radiation after surgery. Doctors will compare giving radiation before, during, or after the operation to see which approach best prevents the tumor from coming back. The goal is to improve local control and quality of life for patients with brain metastases.
