First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests an oral drug called ropidoxuridine (IPdR) combined with whole-brain radiation in people whose cancer has spread to the brain. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if the drug makes radiation work better by sensitizing tumor cells. Only 11 participants were enrolled, all with advanced cancer and limited life expectancy.
