New combo therapy aims to stop brain metastases in lung cancer patients

Summary
This study tests whether giving radiation to all brain tumors first, followed by a new immunotherapy drug (ivonescimab) plus chemotherapy, works better than starting with the drug and chemo alone. About 158 adults with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to the brain but who are not having major symptoms will take part. The goal is to see which approach keeps brain tumors from growing longer.
