Summary

This study looked at whether brain insulin resistance plays a role in depression during adolescence. Researchers used MRI scans to compare brain activity in 24 teens with and without depression after they received insulin or a placebo through a nasal spray. The goal was to understand the biology of depression, not to test a treatment.
