Virtual reality could bring brain injury therapy home

NCT ID NCT03807401

Summary

This study aims to develop new, at-home rehabilitation methods for people with a brain injury condition called 'unilateral neglect,' which affects spatial awareness. Researchers are testing whether virtual reality or mental imagery exercises can work as well as current hospital-based treatments. The study involves 480 healthy volunteers to first see if these new methods are feasible and work on similar brain pathways.
