First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This early-phase study tests whether a special PET scan using a tracer called 18F-NOS can measure inflammation in the brains of people with Parkinson's disease. Eleven participants, including both Parkinson's patients and healthy volunteers, will receive the scan to compare brain inflammation patterns. The goal is to see if this imaging method could help diagnose or monitor Parkinson's in the future.
