First seen Apr 20, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study uses a special PET/CT scan to look at inflammation in the brains of people with Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment, compared to healthy volunteers. Researchers will test a new imaging tracer called [18F]NOS to see how it highlights inflammation. The goal is to better understand the role of inflammation in Alzheimer's, not to provide treatment. About 9 participants aged 55 and older will take part.
