NCT ID NCT05384353
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study involved 134 participants with Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal degeneration, Lewy body dementia, or late-life psychiatric disorders. Researchers compared a new PET scan method that measures synaptic density with the standard FDG-PET scan to see which better distinguishes between these conditions. The goal was to understand how brain changes relate to symptoms, not to provide a treatment.
