Scientists probe brain changes after weight loss surgery
NCT ID NCT06861790
Summary
This study aims to understand how weight loss and improved diabetes control after bariatric surgery affect brain function and thinking. Researchers will follow 120 participants, testing their memory and brain scans before surgery, after 12 weeks, and at 18 months. They will also test whether using a non-invasive nerve stimulation device for 30 days after surgery provides additional brain benefits.
