Can new insulin tech protect Kids' brains from diabetes?

NCT ID NCT06461065

Summary

This study is looking at whether starting an automated insulin delivery system very soon after a child is diagnosed with type 1 diabetes can help protect their brain development and thinking skills. Researchers will compare brain scans and thinking tests in 60 children, aged 5 to 7, who either use the new automated system or the current standard pump therapy. The goal is to see if better blood sugar control early on leads to healthier brain growth.
