Scientists map the Brain's mood circuits in real time
NCT ID NCT05871372
Summary
This study aims to understand how brain activity relates to mood, particularly in depression. Researchers will record brain signals directly from 58 participants who are already undergoing monitoring for epilepsy or treatment for severe depression. Using advanced computer analysis, they hope to identify patterns that could guide future, more precise brain stimulation therapies.
