New hope for tough brain tumors? early trial tests Drug-Radiation combo

NCT ID NCT04555577

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new drug called Peposertib, given alongside standard radiation and chemotherapy, for people newly diagnosed with a fast-growing type of brain tumor (glioblastoma). The main goals are to find the safest dose of Peposertib and see if it can get into the brain to help stop cancer cells from repairing themselves after radiation. Researchers hope this combination will work better than standard treatment alone to control the disease.
