Brain waves may predict glioma progression in new surgical study

NCT ID NCT05565118

First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests if recording electrical activity in and around high-grade glioma tumors during surgery can help predict where the tumor will grow back. Ten adults with aggressive brain tumors will have a small biopsy taken from the recording sites. The goal is to understand how brain activity relates to tumor progression, not to provide a direct treatment benefit.
