First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looked at brain activity in 43 people in a coma after severe brain injury. Researchers used MRI scans to see how different brain networks connect and change over time. The goal was to learn if these brain patterns can help predict when someone might wake up. This research helps us understand consciousness but does not test a treatment.
