New enema program tested for Post-Cancer bowel distress
NCT ID NCT06424522
Summary
This study is testing if a structured bowel management program that includes a special rectal enema works better than standard medications alone for people suffering from bowel problems after rectal cancer surgery. The trial will involve 80 adults who still have moderate to severe symptoms despite trying standard treatments. Participants will be randomly assigned to try the new enema program or continue with medication and therapy for one year to see which provides better symptom relief.
