Summary

This study is tracking 30,000 people aged 60 and older in rural China to see if a comprehensive program—combining medication, lifestyle advice, education, and heart monitoring—can lower the risk of heart attacks, strokes, and heart-related deaths. Participants will be followed for up to 10 years. The goal is to learn how to better manage chronic heart conditions like high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, and heart failure in community settings.
