New pacing technique may shield hearts from pacemaker harm
NCT ID NCT05869500
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a newer pacing method, left bundle area pacing (LBBAP), can better protect heart function than standard right ventricular pacing in people who need a pacemaker. About 100 adults with normal heart pumping ability and a slow heart rhythm will be randomly assigned to one of the two pacing methods. The goal is to see if LBBAP reduces the risk of future heart weakness.
