Texting to save lives: ER trial aims to boost lung cancer checks
NCT ID NCT07287085
Summary
This study aims to see if a simple program can get more people screened for lung cancer. It will work with 300 eligible patients in an emergency department who are current or former heavy smokers. Researchers will test if providing a direct referral to a screening program plus sending text message reminders leads to more people getting screened compared to just giving basic information.
