AI and home visits aim to get seniors into health programs
NCT ID NCT07252934
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a combination of a 90-minute home visit by trained student interns and a month of daily AI-generated health messages can encourage older adults in Hong Kong to join District Health Centres. 180 adults aged 65 and older who are not yet members will be randomly assigned to receive the intervention or usual care. The main goal is to see if more people sign up within 3 months.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Home-based and AI-generated digital intervention
What this could lead to
If successful, this approach could provide a low-cost way to connect more older adults with preventive health services.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage feasibility study. The intervention may not significantly boost membership, and results may not apply outside Hong Kong.
