NCT ID NCT07437053
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether two types of amino acid supplements can safely improve muscle mass and strength in 20 adults aged 45–75 with advanced chronic kidney disease and muscle loss (sarcopenia). Participants will take the supplements for 6 weeks each, and researchers will measure handgrip strength, muscle mass, and walking speed. The goal is to find a way to treat muscle loss without increasing protein intake, which can be harmful for kidney patients.
