Simple booklet empowers cancer families to ask tough questions
NCT ID NCT02854293
Summary
This study tested whether giving a booklet with example questions helps patients with advanced cancer or their families get the information they need during palliative care visits. Researchers enrolled 121 French-speaking adults with metastatic cancer to see if using the booklet changed how many questions they asked and how satisfied they felt with the information received. The goal was to improve communication and support during difficult conversations about prognosis and care.
