First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study explores whether floating in a warm, saltwater tank (floatation-REST) while practicing mindfulness can reduce body image dissatisfaction in people with anorexia nervosa. 102 participants will be randomly assigned to either the floatation therapy or a control group watching mindfulness videos. Researchers will measure changes in body image and related brain activity over several sessions.
