First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a whole-body compression bandage could help reduce fluid buildup in ICU patients with severe sepsis or septic shock. 64 patients on mechanical ventilation received the bandage within 12 hours of admission. Researchers tracked daily fluid balance and checked survival at 7, 28, and 90 days to see if the bandage improved outcomes.
