First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested whether a whole-body compression bandage can help reduce fluid buildup in ICU patients with severe sepsis or septic shock. Researchers enrolled 64 adults on mechanical ventilation and applied the bandage within 12 hours of admission. They monitored fluid balance daily and checked survival at 7, 28, and 90 days. The goal was to see if the bandage could improve fluid management and potentially reduce complications.
