Could a simple bladder infection spare women from unnecessary cancer scares?

NCT ID NCT07037589

First seen Nov 21, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looks at 300 women aged 50 and older who have blood in their urine along with a bladder infection. Researchers want to see if these women need the full set of cancer tests (like a camera in the bladder and CT scans) or if they can safely skip them. The goal is to find out who is at very low risk for cancer, so fewer women have to go through uncomfortable and invasive procedures.
