Blue dye could make surgery safer by spotting hidden ureter injuries

NCT ID NCT06054880

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a blue dye called Bludigo™ to help surgeons see if the tubes from the kidneys to the bladder (ureters) are open during surgery. About 116 adults having certain surgeries will get either a smaller or larger dose of the dye. The goal is to see which dose works better and is safe, so doctors can spot and fix ureter problems quickly.
