Arm squeeze therapy could shield Seniors' blood vessels from harm
NCT ID NCT05808686
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple, at-home arm cuff exercise can protect the tiny blood vessels of frail older adults from damage caused by physical stress. Researchers want to see if repeatedly inflating a blood pressure cuff on the arm for two weeks makes these vessels more resilient during high-intensity exercise. The trial involves 60 participants aged 65-85 who will complete exercise tests and have their small blood vessels measured before and after the cuff treatment.
