Blood clues: simple tests may forecast myeloma survival
NCT ID NCT06095752
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study checked if three simple blood measurements—blood thickness, albumin/fibrinogen ratio, and red cell distribution width—can help predict how newly diagnosed multiple myeloma patients will do over one year. Researchers followed 48 patients for a year after diagnosis, comparing their initial blood test results to their survival. The goal was to find easy, low-cost ways to estimate prognosis without any new treatment.
