Simple blood test could reduce unnecessary lung scans
NCT ID NCT07358715
Summary
This study is testing a blood test as a first step before a CT scan for lung cancer screening. The goal is to see if the blood test can accurately identify people who are unlikely to have lung cancer, so they might avoid an unnecessary scan. This could reduce radiation exposure and healthcare costs while still finding cancer early in high-risk people, including those who have never smoked.
