Summary
This study is testing a new diagnostic tool that combines a blood test with a short questionnaire to help doctors tell the difference between bipolar disorder and regular depression. It involves about 623 adults who are currently experiencing a depressive episode and are visiting their primary care doctor. The goal is to see if this tool can accurately identify bipolar disorder earlier, which could lead to better treatment.
