Blood-Cleaning treatment tested to save children from deadly infections
NCT ID NCT04794595
Summary
This study is testing whether a continuous blood filtering treatment helps children with severe bloodstream infections (sepsis) survive and recover better than standard care. Researchers will compare two groups of children to see if early use of this blood purification improves 28-day survival rates and protects organ function. The goal is to determine if and when this treatment should be used for pediatric sepsis.
