Can a simple arm cuff replace an artery line in prostate surgery?

NCT ID NCT07349186

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at two methods of monitoring blood pressure during robot-assisted prostate removal surgery. The goal is to see if using a standard arm cuff (oscillometric) is as good as using a small tube in an artery (intraarterial) at preventing dangerously low blood pressure during the operation. About 210 men scheduled for this surgery will take part, and their blood pressure readings will be compared.
