Summary
This study tested a new bedside device (Proxima 3®) that quickly measures oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other blood levels in patients during surgery. It compared the device's results to the standard, slower hospital lab equipment. The goal was to see if the new monitor is accurate and reliable for patients whose conditions change rapidly, like those having heart or spine surgery.
