Blood filter offers new hope for calming severe gut flares

NCT ID NCT07383597

Summary

This study is testing a medical device that filters harmful substances from the blood to help calm severe flare-ups of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. It will compare patients receiving standard therapy alone to those receiving standard therapy plus the blood-filtering treatment. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and can help reduce gut inflammation and symptoms when standard medications aren't enough.
