Could a simple heart scan save trauma victims? study uses blood donors to find out

NCT ID NCT07207629

Summary

This study aims to see if a non-invasive heart ultrasound can detect early signs of blood loss. Researchers are measuring heart function in healthy blood donors before and after they give blood, using donation as a safe model for mild blood loss. The goal is to find a quick, portable way to help emergency teams spot internal bleeding in trauma patients sooner.
