NCT ID NCT07427966
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study aims to improve how doctors diagnose bipolar disorder and predict future mood episodes. Researchers will use smartwatches to track sleep and activity, and simple computer tasks to measure decision-making in 600 people with bipolar disorder, major depression, or no mood disorder. The goal is to find patterns that help tell bipolar disorder apart from depression and give early warning of manic or depressive episodes.
