New dissolving heart stent aims to clear long blockages
NCT ID NCT07091682
Summary
This study is testing the safety and performance of a new, longer version of a dissolvable heart stent called Freesolve. The stent is placed in blocked heart arteries to improve blood flow, slowly releases a medicine to prevent re-narrowing, and is designed to dissolve over time. The trial will enroll about 100 adults with specific, long blockages in their coronary arteries to see how well the stent works over five years.
