Biofeedback training aims to restore sexual health in cervical cancer survivors
NCT ID NCT07597083
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether special pelvic floor exercises, guided by a biofeedback device, can improve sexual function in women who had radiation for cervical cancer. Sixty survivors with sexual problems will be randomly assigned to either biofeedback-assisted training or standard pelvic floor exercises for 8 weeks. The goal is to see if the biofeedback approach leads to better sexual health and pelvic muscle function.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
biofeedback-assisted pelvic floor muscle training
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-drug way to improve sexual function and pelvic floor health in cervical cancer survivors after radiation.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 60 participants. The intervention is behavioral, so results may vary, and it may not work for everyone.
