Cancer drug doses put to the test in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT05391048

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study tested two different strengths (10 mg and 20 mg) of an experimental drug called IMP4297 in 36 healthy Chinese men. The goal was to see if the two strengths are processed the same way in the body after a meal. This is a bioequivalence study, meaning it checks if different doses give the same drug levels in the blood. The results will help decide which strength to use in future studies for solid tumors.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

IMP4297 (a drug being tested for solid tumors)

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could confirm that both capsule strengths deliver the same amount of drug, supporting future trials for solid tumor treatment.

What could go wrong

This is a very early, small study in healthy people, not patients. It only checks how the drug is processed, not if it works against cancer. Results may not predict effectiveness or safety in patients.
