Medication tested to help stop binge eating and support weight loss

NCT ID NCT03926052

Summary

This Yale University study tested whether a medication called lisdexamfetamine (LDX) could help people with binge-eating disorder and obesity maintain their progress after initial treatment. The Phase 3 trial involved 61 adults who had already responded well to earlier therapy. Researchers compared LDX against a placebo to see which was better at preventing binge-eating relapse and supporting weight management over time.
