VR and brain music may soothe labor pain, new study hopes
NCT ID NCT07518667
First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study will test whether listening to special music (binaural beats) or using virtual reality during labor can reduce pain and affect key birth hormones. Ninety pregnant women giving birth naturally will be split into three groups: one using VR, one listening to the music, and one receiving standard care. Researchers will measure hormone levels and pain scores to see if these relaxing techniques make labor more comfortable.
