Brain implant patients test new drug to calm epilepsy signals

NCT ID NCT07125261

Summary

This study is testing whether an experimental drug called BHV-7000 can reduce abnormal brain activity in people with epilepsy who have a special implanted brain device (RNS System). Five participants will take the drug for four weeks, and researchers will compare their brain recordings during treatment to periods before and after. The goal is to see if the drug helps control the electrical patterns linked to seizures, even if the person doesn't feel a seizure happening.
