New pill aims to tame tough blood cancers in early trial

Summary
This early-phase study tests an experimental oral drug called BH-30236 in adults whose acute myeloid leukemia or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome has returned or not responded to prior treatments. The trial first finds a safe dose, then tests the drug alone or with another medicine (venetoclax). About 170 participants will be enrolled to check safety, how the body processes the drug, and whether it can shrink or control the cancer.
