Sound waves vs. balloons: the battle to fix failing heart stents

NCT ID NCT07316504

Summary

This study aims to find the best way to fix a heart stent that has re-narrowed because it didn't fully expand during the original procedure. Researchers will compare a newer method using sound waves (intravascular lithotripsy) against the standard method of using high-pressure balloons. The goal is to see which technique more effectively re-opens the stent and reduces the need for future procedures.
