Scientists test new ultrasound tech to spot kidney stones better

NCT ID NCT02214836

Summary

This study is testing whether new computer software can make ultrasound images better at finding and measuring kidney stones. Researchers will scan 370 adult patients who have kidney stones visible on X-rays. They will compare the new ultrasound images to standard X-rays, CT scans, and surgical findings to see if the new method is more accurate.
