NCT ID NCT07607457
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will test a specially designed patient gown for people recovering from abdominal surgery. The gown aims to be more private, comfortable, and easier to move in than standard hospital gowns, while also allowing doctors and nurses easy access to medical devices like drains and catheters. About 172 patients and 14 healthcare workers will take part to see if the new design improves satisfaction and care.

Active substance
enhanced patient gown
What this could lead to
If this gown works well, it could become a new standard for hospital wear, making recovery more comfortable and dignified for surgery patients.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial testing a prototype. The gown may not prove significantly better than current options, and results may not apply to all hospitals or surgeries.
